Retail Therapy: Cyber Monday
When it comes to Black Friday, people seem to love it or hate it. I have friends who scour the web for weeks, and wake up at the crack of dawn in search of a bargain, and others who avoid the mall like the plague. Personally, there’s never been anything I’ve needed desperately enough to warrant a 4am wake-up call, but I do love the excitement of the day! I love going to the mall and being a part of the hustle and bustle. It makes for great people watching too (I feel the same way about airports, but that’s a discussion for another time!). Friday, I woke up to the sun shining, enjoyed a leisurely breakfast with my extended family, and hit the mall with my sister around 10am. We were in and out in under two hours, and made it back in time for a lunch of delicious Thanksgiving leftovers. Whether you’d rather brave the crowds, or shop online in your PJ’s, here are some of my shopping picks. Perfect to treat yourself and those you love!
I love having friends over and hosting parties. I have been on the hunt for wine charms, to help distinguish each guest’s glass, and just came across these Party People glass markers. In addition to being brightly colored and fun (the Party People each have names such as Devilish, Cuddly, and Mysterious), they are attached with suctions, instead of traditional wine stem rings, allowing them to be used with cups and glasses of all kinds. $7.47 for 12 on Amazon.com
With bowls this festive, I don’t mind spending time in the kitchen! This set of five bowls are vibrant in color, and nest within each other, for easy storage. Regularly $36.95, on sale through Sunday for just $24.95 at Crate & Barrel.
Sparkly things always make me happy! This barette from Banana Republic offers the right amount of shine and sophistication. An easy way to dress up an everyday look, or as the finishing touch when you’re getting glammed up. $25.00 at Banana Republic, with an additional 30% off through Monday with promo code HUGECYBER.
Like most people these days, I’m addicted to my smartphone. I also have very cold hands! These smarTouch Gloves from Isotoner are the perfect solution. The fingertips of these gloves have conductive fibers, which carry signals to your smartphone screen, so your hands can stay warm at the same time. Available in both men’s and women’s styles, in a wide selection of colors. Totes-Isotoner, $21.00-$37.80.
I’ve always been a fan of Yankee Candles. They envelope the entire room in fragrance, and make you feel warm and cozy. My favorite scents for the season are Macintosh, Pumpkin Spice, and Vanilla Cookie. Available at Yankee Candle for $25.99 each, or buy two get one free with promo code SAVE.
With cold weather comes dry skin. Enter the L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream. It moisturizes and protects with a mild, sweet scent, and feels amazing. Available in multiple sizes, the 1 oz is the perfect size to throw into your bag when you’re on the go. Just $10.00 at L’Occitane.
What were your Black Friday shopping finds?
I need those gloves! And I love the pin from Banana. But I’m passing the link to those gloves on to my mama!
