One year, and a birthday blog makeover

One year ago today, I wrote my very first blog post on Lab to Fab. It’s hard to believe that 365 days have passed since I started this first “experiment in happiness.”  And what an experiment it was. From the steep learning curve, to the amount of time and effort it took for a quality piece, and the sobering realization that all of that effort doesn’t guarantee as many readers as some of those other blogs out there.  But through this process, I discovered that I love writing. This finding was somewhat of a surprise to me, as I’ve spent most of my life pursuing science and other analytical pursuits. But I think that’s precisely why I love it so much: blogging allows me to fulfill my creative side.  So I guess you could say that this experiment was a success!

In honor of one year, I thought it was time for a birthday blog makeover. You may have already noticed a few changes. For starters, I’ve changed the title from Lab to Fab! to  Kavi360. As much as I love the cheeky humor of the old title, I don’t feel that it truly represents me as a person, or what I write about. As my new tagline states, Kavi360 is about “Travel, and other things that make my world go round,” which more accurately describes the content of this blog. Additionally, I’ve made the big step of getting my own domain. In the upcoming weeks, I plan on making a few aesthetic changes as well, which I’m pretty excited about.

As always, thanks for joining me on this journey  – I hope you’ll stick around!

  1. “But through this process, I discovered that I love writing”. Kavi, that you discovered your creative side and are excited about exploring it is beautiful. That is exactly how I feel as I explore life with my camera. Congratulations.

  2. Awesome that it’s been over a year now! Wow. You’ve had some great posts for sure and some great adventures too. I look forward to following the future ones as well. Where in the world are you these days?

      • Good luck with the job search! Huge fan of Philly (there now before I leave on my next adventure in a week!). I just moved out of the DC area (where I was living for 2 years), and putting my life on hold for a few months for some foreign language studies.

  3. Lovely post Kavi.. Congratulations and Celebrations on your first Blogversary. So glad to have stumbled across your site.

Much luck and love to you!
