Signs You’ve Lived In New York Too Long

DSC03062

They say that everyone should live in New York once. And truth be told, my 5 years there were the best of my life (so far!). But every good thing must come to an end, and after reading the 23 Signs You’ve Lived In New York Too Long, (and realizing every single sign was not only true but seemed completely normal to me) I think it was my time to go!

Number 1 hit me as soon as my flight landed in Chicago. As friendly and outgoing as I thought I was, I was taken aback by how inquisitive everyone is here, and I mean EVERYONE, from taxi drivers to grocery store cashiers to people who ride the elevator in my building (Are you genuinely interested in where I went to college and what I do for a living, or are you trying to steal my identity and kidnap me?!). Number 20 becomes abundantly clear on a daily basis as I swerve and maneuver around people on the sidewalks who are content to mosey along at their leisure (and don’t even get me started on their driving!).

Hope this gives you a laugh! Have a great weekend!
