A day at the races: Arlington Park, IL

Last weekend a group of friends and I headed to Arlington Park to check out the horses. My first time at a race track! Arlington was just a quick train ride from Chicago via the Metra (my first Metra ride too!). The day started out a bit cloudy but we lucked out with a beautiful, sunny day. I’m not much of a gambler, but I still had a blast. It was just nice to get out of the city and enjoy being outdoors all day… and watch the races, of course! It also happened to be Country Day (hence the cowboy hats & boots!) featuring country musicians and line dancing. It was a really fun day and I can’t wait to go back again!
